The predecessor of Zhongguancun (Daxing) Cell and Gene Therapy Industrial Park was Beijing Daruixing Nail Industry Co., Ltd., an enterprise once specialized in the production of iron nail metal products. The park took the lead in exploring a new model of urban renewal and industrial transformation and upgrading featuring "a new central-local cooperation mechanism, professional service-driven operation, and a large platform for cooperation among medical research institutions and enterprises", which has demonstration significance for scaled promotion and replication through point-to-area driving.
The park is located in the core area of China's Medicine Valley, adjacent to Yongxing River Wetland Park and surrounding residential areas. It is 500 meters away from the Liuhuan Expressway entrance and exit, and a 10-minute walk from the Biomedical Base Station of the subway and Longfor Beijing Daxing Tianjie. Established a joint laboratory with Beijing Hospital of the Ministry of Health in July 2020. In the field of tumor immunology, it has breakthrough technologies in the acquisition and cultivation of specific killer cells, increasing the clinical treatment efficiency by more than 5 times.

As a leading domestic gene therapy CDMO service provider, it has built two production bases with 7 viral vector production lines, covering the entire process from preclinical to commercial production. It is the first vaccine and new drug transformation platform founded by a Nobel laureate in Beijing, focusing on the research and development of new oral recombinant HP vaccines and new adjuvant recombinant tuberculosis vaccines.
